2x the Characters in the Same PCB size
The high
brightness of VFD allows four new designs of popular LCD formats to
provide users with more text lines in the existing size module. The
modules are backward compatible with 2x16, 2x20, 4x20 and 2x40 formats and
expand to 4x16, 4x20, 8x20 and 4x40 with a single software command. A
new 7x7 dot font maintains readability through increased character
width.

Additional graphic commands allow mono-spaced or
proportional multi sized fonts 5x5, 5x7, 7x7, 7x15, 10x14 and 20x28
with graphic image upload. Draw commands allow outlines and boxes to be
created on screen. Russian (Cyrillic) and European font options are
available.

Three Colour VFD with 2x20 LCD Emulation

Graphics Expansion
A two phosphor
display provides red, blue and white pixels enabling an enhanced visual
performance over standard monochrome displays in this popular LCD
format.
The 44780 command set has been expanded to provide graphics and multi
sized font capability and pixel colour control plus expansion to 3x20
characters.
Itron
has spotted a niche in the market between the low cost monochrome
display and the complex colour STN/TFT. This solution allows users to
easily upgrade their character display to colour while using the same
interface, PCB size and command set. This product is designed for vending,
gaming and similar products where continuous display activity maintains
even colour aging.

'R'=Red 'W'=White and
'S'=Sky Blue.
3 lines of 20 characters are available by accessing higher DDRAM areas
in the command set.

and a pink enhancement filter.

Pixel Flexible 600
Series adds 3 Formats
The three formats extend the mid range product line up for
instruments and detailed graphic application. The modules
include a jumper option to switch the interfaces to 3.3V or 5V logic
operation. SPI, I2C, parallel and asynchronous communication is
provided. The 240X64 module is available with
a USB interface. These 600 series products include an extensive command
set plus ASCII, European and Cyrillic fonts with character formats 5x5,
5x7, 7x15 and 10x14.
Custom software options are readily available and affordable.
