The 7806A product range utilises unused bytes in the
44780 command set to enable you to add a few lines
of code to enhance the appearance of your display
and use the serial port for expansion to add a printer,
remote display, SPI device or 7 LEDs / switches.
Russian (Cyrillic) font version (AC) replaces the
Japanese Katakana fonts in the standard version.
All modules contain a Euro symbol.

The high brightness of VFD allows four new designs
of popular LCD formats to provide users with more
text lines in the existing size module. The modules
are backward compatible with 2x16, 2x20, 4x20
and 2x40 formats and expand to 4x16, 4x20,
8x20 and 4x40 with a single software command.
A new 7x7 dot font maintains readability
through increased character width.

A two phosphor display provides red, blue and
white pixels enabling an enhanced visual
performance over standard monochrome displays
in this popular LCD format.
The 44780 command set has been expanded to
provide graphics and multi sized font capability
and pixel colour control plus expansion to
3x20 characters.
