 The GW range utilise the active matrix MW series displays to produce a unique low profile and low RFI solution from a single 5V supply with a
 very readable 3500cd/m2  brightness at 2.1 mm character height.
The displayed colour can be achieved using a film or acrylic filter.

The active matrix within these MW series displays is a combination of semiconductor and fine VFD technology. A 16x16 phosphor dot matrix is fabricated on the top surface of a semiconductor chip. The chip integrates memory function and display driver circuits, each having a 256 bit shift register latch. 
This technology has the benefit of not requiring refresh once data is loaded.
